Happy End of Passover

Today, I was happy to get the children down to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum today to say goodbye to the dinosaur hall before it is closed for renovation fort 5 years — a span of time unimaginable to my 4 year old.  We managed to tear through millions of years in a matter of 40 minutes.  On the way home, I fielded amazing questions about evolution from my 7 year old. It is time to check some Darwin books out of the library because we were quickly in over my  head.

Also, I want to share a piece I wrote for Jewish Food Experience, my second monthly post about farm life, Rashi and seedlings.   I am really enjoying writing for this site and already planning my May piece for Israeli Independence Day about our olive oil and what is happening on farms in Israel.   We are expecting our next shipment of olive oil this week!  Finally, while we are on the topic of Jewish Food Experience, check out this piece about the former director Susan Boracas and food writer Vered Guttman catering the White House seder.

Happy Passover to those who celebrate and remember, it is time to count the omer! I am running behind on that but there are many days to count before Shavuot!  Thanks for reading!
